ARRIVAL PROCEDURES
CAR DROP OFF PROCEDURES
Stop, Drop, and Roll: You need to stop your car, drop off your children, then roll. Teachers will be available to assist. Please do not get out of your car. If you have a child who needs help, the teacher on duty will assist.
As of 10/12/2020 the NEW drop off time for students in grades Kindergarten through grade 8 is from 7:45am until 8:05am. This shorter timeframe will increase instruction time by 5 minutes in the morning. It will also give the teachers 5 extra minutes of PREP time. This will also add 10 minutes of instructional time in the afternoon by shortening dismissal practice. This will not affect the time of dismissal. Dismissal for kindergarten remains at 2:40pm and 1 through 8 begins at 2:45pm. Please note: Students arriving by car are not permitted to drop off at the main doors on Turner Ave unless it is after 8:05am. Please see Mrs. Montie's October Option C email communications for further details.
WALKERS: Enter the building via the Turner Avenue entrance and will not be permitted to enter from the Harper Avenue school lot entrance under the COVID-19 Safe Return to School Plan.
BUSES
Bus schedules are determined by individual school districts. Upon arrival students are to report directly to the cafeteria. It is expected that our students who ride the buses behave in a manner which reflects favorably on themselves, their families and St. Bernadette School. Failure to do so may result in the suspension of the bus riding privilege.
Note: Students shall not be dropped off at school to enter the building prior to the times published above as there is no scheduled supervision. The C.A.R.E.S program is designed for childcare before school hours. Parents must make prior arrangements to register the student in C.A.R.E.S.
DISMISAL PROCEDURES
CAR AFTERNOON PICK-UP TRAFFIC PROCEDURES
