Spring 2020 Distance Learning assignments are complete.
Students did a great job with these assignments. I hope they enjoyed doing this work. I loved seeing their creativity and hard work. I wish we could have had our time in the classroom so that we could do planned projects that involved various materials, and also so that we could engage in more discussion about artwork. At this time, I think it's important to talk about how artists express their feelings, their cultures, and their places in society, and how they funnel that into their artwork. There are so many artists out there who make important statements through their work. I hope to explore more of them next year.
If you are looking for art activities to do at home, please check my
Art At Home page. I will try to add more throughout the summer for those who are interested.
If you want to refer back to any Distance Learning assignments, please check my
Distance Learning Archive.
Student artwork from the classroom will be handed back per the aphebetized schedule sent out by Mrs. Montie, during the week of June 8th.
Please look for information about the
Online Art Show. Grades 1-8 will be represented.
Your children are a joy. They have all exhibited kindness, creativity, and determination. I look forward to seeing them in the Fall. I wish all of your families good heath and peace. Have a great Summer!
