CARES ("Children Are Receiving Extended Services") is available to all students (Pre-K 3 through 8^th grade) and is open each day that school is in session. 

Early Morning CARES:
Offered for children in Pre-K 3 through Grade 8. The cost is $10.00 an hour per child. 
Begins at 7:00 AM and offers the following alternate drop off times:

• 7:00 AM
• 7:30 AM
• 8:00 AM

Afternoon CARES: 

• Offered for children in Pre-K 3 through Grade 8. The cost is $10.00 an hour per child. 
• Time: 2:30 PM (Pre-K 3/4) or 3:00 PM (Kindergarten–8th grade) through 6:00pm

Half-Day Services:

• CARES is also offered on school half-days from 11:30 AM - 6:00 PM

Program Description

• The CARES program offers a balance between adult-initiated and child-initiated activities, indoor and outdoor play, and quiet time for homework. The CARES moderators work together to provide a well-supervised, structured morning or afternoon of play and activities. Afternoon CARES offers a scheduled homework period with assistance from the moderators if needed. A snack is provided each day at 3:30 PM after free playtime. 
• There is a $30 annual registration fee per child. The cost of the program is $10.00 per hour per child.
• A monthly calendar is sent out one week prior to the beginning of each month so that a reservation for each child can be made.
• Parents must go through the calendar and indicate which days per month they intend to send their child(ren) to CARES.
• The completed calendar and payment are due on the first of each month and is submitted to the school office (ATTN: CARES).
• In the case of inclement weather, CARES is not open when the school is closed for the day. However, if the school opens initially and then closes for early dismissal, CARES will remain open until all parents have had an opportunity to pick up their children. 
• Parents are expected to respect CARES' hours of operation. Prompt pick-up of the children according to your scheduled time is expected and appreciated.
• If there is availability, enrollment in CARES is accepted throughout the school year.
