SBS Continuous Enrollment Model for the 2022-2023 Academic Year
Dear SBS Parents,
As we all work together to provide our students with a challenging curriculum in a safe and nurturing learning environment, St. Bernadette School is already planning for the 2022-23 academic school year. In this “Year of Joy” at SBS, it is particularly rewarding to reflect on the many accomplishments of our students and faculty. Our 8th-grade students continue to be accepted into the Archdiocesan and private Catholic high schools of their choosing, many with academic and merit scholarships. Due to the dedication of our students and faculty, the Archdiocese of Philadelphia named St. Bernadette a School of Distinguished Instruction for our high achievement in Terra Nova testing. The Middle States Accreditation Team was impressed with the dedication and commitment of faculty and staff in providing our students with an excellent academic program that supports the intellectual, emotional, and social needs of our students. Our STREAM program has been expanded to include all of our students in PreK 3 through 8th grade.
In keeping with last year’s admissions process, we will be moving forward with our Continuous Enrollment program, which will once again be conducted through the TADS online enrollment and tuition database. This process makes re-enrollment simpler and more convenient for our school families. Continuous Enrollment also aids in advance budget planning and assists in providing financial stability to St. Bernadette School and Parish. St. Bernadette families will no longer have to complete a registration form or log into the TADS system to re-enroll for the next academic year. By automatically registering your student(s) for the next year, we hope to save you time and trouble as well as lessen hundreds of school administrative hours.
Please note that the Continuous Enrollment program is only available for students who will be entering Kindergarten through 8th grade at the start of the 2022-23 academic year. Current PreK 3 students are NOT automatically enrolled for the following school year, as each family must decide whether they would like their child(ren) to attend a full-time or part-time PreK 4 class. The parents of current PreK 3 students will receive a separate communication by January 8, 2022, which will inform them on how to reserve a space in PreK 4.
Please review the tuition schedule and fees for the 2022-23 school year on our school website at https://st-bernadette.org/tuition-fees-financial-assistance. If you are in academic and financial good standing and do not opt out of enrollment by January 17, 2022, a discounted early registration fee will be applied to your TADS account in February. If you choose to opt out of registration for the 2022-23 school year, but decide to enroll at a later date, you will need to re-apply like a new student and will be assessed the applicable registration fee if the class is not full. If the class is full you will automatically be placed on a wait list. Tuition payments for next school year will begin in May. If any of your personal contact information has changed (e.g. addresses, phone numbers, contacts, credit card or bank account information, etc.) you must log into your TADS account immediately to make changes.
TADS will apply an annual fee of $20 to families who choose to make a single payment and a $55 fee for 12 installments to the first invoice of the new school year in May. Also, TADS will automatically apply a $40 late fee to families who do not make payment within a 5-day grace period of their billing date. St. Bernadette does not receive these funds.
If you plan to register any additional family members in pre-K through eighth grade for the 2022-23 school, year please email Mrs. Montie at [email protected] and copy Mrs. Booth in the school office at [email protected] by January 17, 2022. This will allow your application to receive priority review before the general Open Enrollment period begins for new students on January 30th.
If you are not planning to return to SBS for the 2022-23 academic school year for any reason, you must visit Continuous Enrollment on our school website and complete the opt-out form. This must be completed by Monday, January 17, 2022; otherwise, all families in academic and financial good standing will be considered automatically re-enrolled and billed accordingly.
Please review all of the information on the Continuous Enrollment page of the school website prior to January 17, 2022. If you have any academic concerns regarding your student, please contact Mrs. Montie at [email protected]. If you have questions regarding tuition, fees, or your payment billing schedule please contact Bob Helmig in the Parish Business Office at [email protected].
We thank you for allowing us to share in the educational and spiritual development of your child(ren). It is truly a sacred trust.
Sincerely,
Mr. Robert Helmig, Business Manager
Mrs. Joanne Montie, Principal
Fr. Michael Saban, Pastor
