The Three Little Fish and the Big Bad Shark
This week's Epics books collection is all about the OCEAN.
Have you children watch this cute video on Sea Animals.
After they watch the video have them DRAW their favorite sea animal or animals. Try to have them use a least 5 different colors.

Crab Walk
Children crawl like a crab from one point to another. After children have had some practice, have them figure out a way to carry a small object while crawling like a crab.

Watch this Video to learn about the sound’s ocean animals make. Have children try to make the sounds themselves.
FINGER PLAY
5 Little Seashells
In advance, make 5 seashells to use on your flannel board or use real seashells.
Five little seashells lying on the shore.
Swish went the waves and then there were four.
Four little seashells cozy as could be.
Swish went the waves and then there were three.
Three little seashells all pearly new.
Swish went the waves and then there were two.
Two little seashells sleeping in the sun.
Swish went the waves and then there was one.
One little seashell left all alone
Whispered, "SHHHHHHHHH" as I took it home.
SCIENCE
Ocean in a Bottle
Materials Needed:
· Empty water bottle
· Water
· Oil
· Blue food coloring
What to do:
1. Add water to the empty water bottle until it is about half-way full.
2. Add a few drops of blue food coloring to the water.
3. Put the lid on the bottle and gently shake it to mix the food coloring into the water.
4. Add oil to the bottle to fill it to the top.
5. Put the lid back on the bottle VERY tightly.
6. Turn the bottle on its side. Gently tilt it up and down to make the oil and water move.
7. What do you see? Can you see waves in the bottle like we see in the ocean?
8. What happens if you move the bottle slower? Faster?
