I look forward to welcoming our new
Pre-K 4B friends to start the school year
with smiles and fun!
Dear Parents,
My hope is that you had a lovely and relaxing Thanksgiving break with your families!
Sunday starts the Advent season in our church as we await the birth of baby Jesus and prepare our hearts for his arrival! The Pre-K children will enjoy practicing their skills with Christmas- themed activities, but our main focus for the Christmas season will be the celebration of the birth of Jesus. The magic and wonder of Christmas will also be experienced with fun and festive learning activities! This week, our friends will engage in stories, poems and songs about jolly adventures (Snowmen at Christmas), Christmas critters (Bear Stays Up), the story of Jesus' birth (The Stable Where Jesus was Born) and how God has created us all to be the very best we can ( I am Truly).
The children will be busy little elves as they prepare and practice for the Pre-K 4 Christmas celebration set for Wednesday, December 14th at 10:00 a.m. in O'Brien Hall. All are welcome as we sing and recite poems to honor baby Jesus and delight in the Christmas season. An invitation will be sent out this week to the Pre-K 4 families with further details about the special day.
Pre-K 4B Classroom Reminders:
We are a peanut free classroom.
*Update: Please do not send in any M&M products, even if they are the plain variety, due to the possibility of tree nut cross-contamination in the production.
Please check ingredients of food sent into school for the presence of these allergens.
Also check that the food item does not come in contact with these allergens during the production in the facility.
Always contact me before sending in any treats for the entire classroom.
* Print your child's name on his or her items such as sweatshirts, water bottles, jackets, etc.
* Each child should have an extra set of clothing in a Ziploc bag kept in his/her backpack in the event of a bathroom accident or a spill.
Please be sure the clothing fits your growing child and is appropriate for the colder weather. Thank you!
We go outside for recess as often as the weather allows, so please be sure your child is dressed warmly for the great outdoors!
The St. Bernadette Food Pantry is collecting items for their Christmas baskets. Pre-K is asked to consider sending in donations of coffee, tea, sugar, peanut butter or jelly.
Thank you for your kindness! Collection ends on December 16th.
