Dear 7th Grade Students,
First let me tell you how greatly missed you are by your teachers, your fellow classmates and ME. I pray for your health and safety each day. These days call each of you to a level of grit and grace that is both challenging yet so rewarding. Completing your assignments, remaining focused and engaged can be difficult in the best of times. Right now you are being expected to do many things on your own. I truly believe you are up to the task.
Know that you are not alone. Your teachers are here to assist you and I am also here for you. You may contact me at [email protected] at any time. Do your very best to remain up to date with your assignments. If you fall behind, contact your teacher and explain why and how you will work to catch up. This situation we are in is new to all children and adults throughout our country and our world. But it is Ok because our faith tells us that in all challenges God is by our side, loving us and keeping us close. Talk to Jesus and Mary every day. They are there to give you strength and love.
Your teachers will be giving you assessments or tests in the coming days and weeks. Remember the Bes of Bernie’s: Be Respectful, Be Responsible and Be Good Citizens by following these Honor System Guidelines:
Work independent of parents, friends, classmates
You may use all materials including notes, and your book
Submit the assessment(test) to your teacher the day it is due
Boys and girls, remember the strongest word in the English language is the word, help. It is ok to ask for it when you need it. Every person needs help in one way or another. If you need help with an assignment, a problem or a concern you may have, let someone know. Your Bernie’s family is here for you.
I can’t wait until we are back in school together. I will plan something fun for our first Morning Gathering Together.
Love and prayers,
Mrs. Montie
